Hi, my name is Kris

“Kris Elias” is a nom de plume, and it’s not a secret.

I began my early career working as an international model and actress, and later became an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker (1912picturecompany). My formal education in theater and film includes two UCLA degrees (BA Film Directing, MFA Screenwriting) and decades of conservatory training (HB Studios, New York; Playhouse West, Los Angeles; NIDA, Sydney, Australia, and others). I’ve been a member of SAG-AFTRA, WGA, MEAA–a lot of acronyms!

I chose a pen name to differentiate the work I do in the entertainment industry from the development of my first YA Fantasy Novel series.

I’ve spent years—decades—joyfully captivated by imaginary universes. I grew up with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and when Harry Potter came along, I dove headfirst into JK Rowling’s Wizarding World.

I’m so excited about this project because now I get to build an entire universe of my own! For me, nothing could be more fun. I hail from Nordic regions with Viking roots, so it may come as no surprise that I’m creating a fictional world that derives its origins from Norse Mythology.
